At the extreme east end of the Thunder Bay district, is the Township of Manitouwadge, population of approximately 1800 people. Once strictly a mining community, it is now home to mining, forestry and a growing population of senior citizens.

The Manitouwadge Crimestoppers committee is a small but dedicated group of volunteers, working in conjunction with the O.P.P. and the MNR , to get the word out about the value of Crimestoppers.
Our annual golf tournament is extremely popular, with participant coming from all over the north shore. This fund raiser helps us pay “tips” through out the year.
Also, we act as sponsors for the O.P.P.’s annual bike rodeo, this again helps us get our message out there.
Apart from the usual signage posted around town and in the schools, we are in the process of purchasing an electronic sign, which will serve as a permanent reminder of Crimestoppers activites.
